CONSTITUTION OF THE FLODDEN-ABINGDON ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

(BARBADOS CHAPTER) 1985

Pre-amble This is an association formed by the past students, past employees and present employees of the Barbados Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School. The following articles govern this association.

ARTICLE 1

NAME: The name shall be "The Flodden - Abingdon Alumni Association" Barbados Chapter (F.A.A.A)

ARTICLE 11

OBJECTIVES:

To foster such fellowship among its members as would contribute to their continual mental & social development.
To render assistance to the school.
To promote Christian Education.

ARTICLE 111

MEMBERSHIP:

1. a. Regular Membership: This is open to all past students of the Barbados S.D.A Secondary School.

b. Associate Membership: This is open to past & present employees of the school.

c. Honorary Membership: This is granted to such persons as the Association desires.

2. Termination of Membership: Membership can be terminated due to any action which may be held by the Association

to be dishonest or contrary to the interest or objectives of the Association.

ARTICLE 1V

ELECTIONS:

Elections shall be held once a year in the month of July.
The general body will elect officers to serve from the 1st. of September to the 31st. of August
No officer may be elected to the same office for more than three (3) consecutive years.
In the case of any officer/floor member resigning or loosing office before the July elections, a new officer/floor member will be elected by the Executive Committee.
Any officer/floor member who misses three (3) consecutive meetings without a valid reason may be removed from office.
The following persons shall be elected as officers of the Association:- 1. President, 2. The Vice-President, 3. The Treasurer, 4. The Secretary, 5. The Asst. Sect./Treasurer, 6. The Public Relations Officers, 7. The Chaplain, 8. Two floor members. A school liaison officer shall be appointed by the school.
